Thanks to the World Monument, the Thank You Symbol of the Acehnese to the World

This monument lies in the green open space area in Blang Padang square, Banda Aceh. As many as 53 permanent placards in the shape of the tip of the boat spread around the field.

Thanks to the World Monument was built as a sign of gratitude of Aceh people to volunteers, NGOs, companies, civilians, the military, and all those who helped Aceh in the process of rehabilitation and reconstruction after the earthquake and tsunami on December 26, 2004.

This monument lies in the green open space area in Blang Padang square, Banda Aceh. As many as 53 permanent placards in the shape of the tip of the boat spread around the field.

Each plaque has an illustration of a flag from all 53 countries and words of thank you in the language of each country. The location of this monument is not far from the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque and the Aceh Tsunami Museum. From these two places, the monument can be reached in just a few minute walk.[]
